Can someone let me know how you can make saddles/fishmouths fill correctly. I didn't know if they could be set up to find their own length when filling between a header and a fitting.

Hate to resurrect and old thread but I am looking for the same thing. I would like to set up fishmouths since we are using a vernon tool now. However I want to limit it so 2 sizes below the run so that we dont turn the main into a banana when its welded. Anything larger and I want it to fill a tee. Thoughts?
