Fabrication ESTmep™ > ESTmep™ Wish List
Assemblies - Allow us to choose multiple services within the assembly
(1/1)
Kuhns:
Especially for Plumbing rough-in...one assembly for a sink...
Waste = PVC or CI NH?
Vent = PVC or CI NH?
DCW = CU Sweat, CU Press, SS Press, PEX, Aquatherm, or ?
DHW = CU Sweat, CU Press, SS Press, PEX, Aquatherm, or ?
ETC...
cnash:
I very much agree with this.
I have brought this up before but received no real answer.
I would also like to be able to have things with both waste and water or similar situations.
Like a Lav assembly that has both the sanitary and the water included and still pulling the correct services based on that.
Kuhns:
Yes, this has been on our wish list from day one...Let's make it happen!
cnash:
We have actually found an option in the assemblies that we think may let us do this now. We have not tested it, but we plan to here in the near future.
The option is under "Properties">"Options" and there are two "Cost as Separate Items" and "Treat as Separate Items".
Like I said, this is largely un-tested at this point, but from a quick look it seems like it may get us closer to multi-service assemblies.
Kuhns:
cnash,
Nope, those options do not allow one to do what is needed. Those options basically say: (1) Do you want everything to be the same services you took off originally (where you could have CU Sweat x CS Grv, but would have to make a different assembly for each material scenario you eventually wanted). or (2), do you want everything to be in the same service that you are currently taking it off in (in which case, ALL services change to the one you are currently taking off)...
We need to have a pull down, just like the size pull down, to choose which services to use for each service originally taken off...
