stiffener specifications

I have set up all my stiffener breakpoints and attached the new stiffeners to the specifications, however they will not automatically come up in the duct when I draw a new piece. Do the specifications control the stiffeners? 0r do I attach the stiffeners to each individual duct Item?
Additionally when I attach the stiffener to an individual Item I get the Tie rods (internal) at each end in the cost breakdown but Can not get the angle (external) in the centre of the duct to be displayed in the cost breakdown.
Any Ideas?

Could be many things, i would start out by checking your spacing / Qty for your stiffeners in your spec table. If the spacing or qty is not set correctly they will not show up.
