Filter Geometry by associated level
« on: Feb 09, 2015, 19:05:41 PM »
Howdy all!
My task: Exporting 3D Revit engineering content into Fabrication for detailing use.
Problem:  Some content that SHOULD be on level-X is within the view range of level-Y. On the 2D sheets, they have somehow filtered the content out, but when I make a 3D view and orient it to the correct sheet-view items are appearing that are not in the 2D sheet of the level, even when the same view template is applied.
It comes down to sloppy work from the engineers, shocking... but I need to filter the stuff out before I export.
Any thoughts?
thanks,
dpwaite

I haven't come up with good fix for this.  What I do is export the model in its entirety, and then slice it.  This takes some work, and isn't very automatic, but thats what I still do...

be interested to hear if someone has a better.  DPR makes a really good utility that does pretty good slices for export, but I've still left stuff behind when using it.
