Hidden lines of Fabrication parts
« on: Feb 25, 2016, 13:41:06 PM »
How can I show hidden lines of fabrication parts in Revit?
No problem having them to show for Revit parts, but no go fabrication parts.
I can see hidden lines of Revit underneith Fab, Revit under Revit, but not Fab under fab or fab under Revit.
I can't find options in the View templates or view properties.
And changing from hidden to wireframe shows everything in continuous lines... not an option.
Anyone using beta 2017 that can tell if it works (without braking secrecy, of course)?
Thanks,

I imagine they'll get it sorted so that fabrication parts will have controls like Revit duct. For now, I'd look to the old method like in AutoCAD with stacking viewports.

Make one Hidden with standard lines and weights, make another with fab parts showing as hidden or dashed linetype across the board, but wireframe.

I know this is a late response, but someone may search this out eventually.

Did you ever get answer to your question?  I am running into the same issue.

Thanks.

I have found that if the sub-discipline of the view is set to coordination, then no hidden detail is shown. Seems okay when set to, for example, mechanical pipework.
