CID List by Product Version
« on: Jun 21, 2016, 22:04:36 PM »
Frequently, users require to establish at what version a particular Pattern (CID) was introduced or removed.

We have introduced a page we provide a means whereby those details may be checked. Currently a work in progress!

CID List by Product Version

This page is accessible through the Additional Content Menu to the right of pages.

Thanks to Darren Young for suggesting and providing the information.

All CIDs have now been entered showing their history and status within Revit.

I am having difficulty identifying the descriptions of many CIDs.

If anyone has a list (preferably numerically) of all CIDs along with their descriptions or can help by providing some of the missing descriptions (these can be seen by viewing the pages) I would be extremely grateful.

Pattern (CID) #2000 to #2999 updated to reflect 2019 release.
One new CID added CID#2199 Details to be confirmed.
One new CID added CID#2200 Details to be confirmed.

NOTE: Awaiting feedback from Autodesk as to what these are. There is no "Geometry" and the library is blank/can be set. Seems like they might be some sort of generic item/placeholder. Also, they can be imported into Revit but unable to export them.

Thanks to Darren Young for providing the updated information.

CID's 2199 and 2200 look like Wrapper patterns. Trying to track down their exact use but suspect they won't be useful for most folks.

Pattern (CID) #1135 amended to show no Revit support for 2017-2019 releases.
(Previously incorrectly indicated CID#1135 as unavailable in those releases).

CID#1175 updated to show as fully supported in Revit across all versions and the notes removed.

BUG in Revit was causing the part in certain versions of Revit to not display in the services they were tested with.

Usually just removing and re-adding seems to make it work.

I reported 912 to Autodesk back in 2017 because of connector number confusion. They have now fixed this issue but it still has connectivity issues in Revit. I cannot "insert part" but I can place a flange then add the component etc. Is this the issue you are seeing. How can they half fix something? I use this CID a lot, very flexible.

Can you give me more details on 912? How you can still place it?  I'd like to update my notes if there's some nuances.

In Revit if I try to place 912 on the end of a pipe it should add a compatible 2522 connector fitting that IS available like if I placed an 868 etc. instead it throws an error. Same if I try to insert part.
If I first place a compatible connector it places no problem.

I thought I would check its behaviour in 2020 CADmep just out of interest. It behaves in a similar manner. But worse than that even 868 displays the same behaviour. I think the connectivity is broken in CADmep 2020 or something else has changed. All my connectors are locked BTW. 868 is functioning as expected in 2018. I don't really want to report this as I only work in Revit now and it may get more broken.
