Spiral: What to buy & What to build?

Hey Everyone,
We're looking at making spiral and the sales rep said there's probably a cut point in diameters between what's going to be cheaper to buy than to make when it comes to fittings.
Is anyone making spiral and using a hybrid buy/build theory?
What about low pressure supply, we've used snaplock and fittings, is anyone converting low pressure snaplock to spiral, and how are you approaching fittings, takeoff's, and wyes?
What about converting low pressure rectangle to spiral, are you still using snaplock fittings?

Our shop stops making spiral at 24". We don't use anything bigger that often but when we do its faster, easier, and cost effective to just buy it locally. We only use spiral at this point, never snaplock.

I was really thinking about the fittings.
And, is it cheaper to buy the reducing wye fitting, or to make it?
And, is it cheaper to buy a reducing wye and make straights fitting to fitting, or buy/make a wye tap and cut the hole in the spiral and mount the tap to the spiral?

Low pressure fittings are cheap as heck, I would recommend to only fab spiral round and buy the fittings...

Also, at the end of drawings, just group the pipe and send to field in 10' for field cutting...
