It wasn't my fault, honestly!
« on: May 02, 2017, 14:49:31 PM »

While moderating the forum I come across quite a few alternative ways of saying 'I have messed things up'...
  • It's on another machine and I'm helping them out...
  • A guy who used to work here set this up...
  • Everything was working fine but all of a sudden...
  • I think our IT Dept. have messed things up...
  • I haven't changed anything but...
  • I think someone has changed something on my computer...
  • It must be a bug because it was fine earlier...
  • As far as I know, no one else has been on my system but everything was working before lunch...
  • Somehow it worked with the other release...
  • My coworker was working on a job and accidentally deleted...
  • Not sure what happened to our database...
And then, of course, comes the usual reply...
  • It's OK, we've figured it out. Somebody must have...  ;D ;D ;D

Customer is the end user and therefore not an expert. Yes we do our own damage sometimes. The really good news is that Microsoft & Autodesk don't build cars.

Well actually, America left Detroit logged in and our brother Canada accidentally deleted all of our jobs.

I'll fully admit when I screw something up. I'm not a pro at this, I just know enough to make the software do what I need it to do lol! I'm a plumber, not an engineer.

AutoCAD, okay; Revit, sure; 4 monitors on my desk, check; nifty gizmos & gadgets, got them too; getting the office printer to work, now that's a challenge!
