Rectangular Duct to bought out
« on: Oct 30, 2017, 15:05:53 PM »
Hello everyone and good morning,

I am trying to create a job file and I am trying change all my rectangular duct to bought out. Is there such thing to do this? I have a bought out box I can check when I right click and edit the item but notice it still gives me a fabrication cost. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you

The items is likely still pointing to a fabrication labor table. You'll need to change the labor table it points to to "none".  O, depending how you''re getting your reports, configure them to not include the bought out items.

This might help you. It covers CID#1 & CID#866.

Code: [Select]
select item.cid
case 1,866

rem set bought out flag to true
item.boughtout = true

rem set fabrication table to none
item.fabtable = "None"

item.update()
end select

Also, if you select all duct and use the Multi-Object Properties tool you can change it there as well, if you cannot see the Bought-Out flag in the tool, add it to it via the Database Manager...

If I had to do this often, I'd set up a different set of items that are bought out, and then a different service with these bought-out items...

Then, fill in the design line, with the new bought out service, & boom, you are done...
