Sloped Fittings Renumber Differently
« on: Dec 12, 2017, 13:47:40 PM »
We are having and issue where sloped fittings are getting different item numbers after being renumbered using the same number for identical parts and ignoring all the fields.
Any ideas as to what might be causing this would be greatly appriciated.

Use the command SHOWMETHEDIFFS to see what the differences are between the 2 items. This should show you a difference in the items.

Thanks for the tip, but we did try that and there is a difference but it is in one of the  things that you can't tell the renumber command to ignore. Is there a way to make the 2 parts in the attachment identify as the same?

You could Isolate that fitting and use the Match Object Properties Paint Brush and select the Item Number.  Its not renumbering, but it will get them all numbered the same.

maybe try to lock the angle tolerance of the fitting, and unlock the angle on the joint.
I don't know if this will work, but its worth a try

Does anyone have a good solution to this problem without getting into scripting? I looked at changing the angle on the couplings as suggested, but they do not have the angle tolerance like the fittings do.
