Notches on inside corners and not on outside corners
« on: May 11, 2018, 15:12:21 PM »
In my posted photo I have the correct notches on the inside of this elbow. I need notches on the outside as well. But they don't appear to be showing up. Bottom arrow is inside of elbow which is correct and top arrow is the outside which is not correct. It needs the same notch

Any idea?

What seam are you using? There does not seem to be much of an allowance showing on the pic....

Small Pitts.

But, this editing I'm doing is just for 90 degrees and 45-degree elbows. And the shop person mentioned that they need a notch on that outer corner. I don't want to edit the seam entirely just these parts. If that makes any sense...

The blank size looks to add up to be small pitts seam with tdc connector. Check your seam male vee depth, and your connector notch. They don't appear to be set?

Yes, those numbers are set. They are reflected how I want them to. But the outside corner Vee Depth Male is not being shown.

Try going into your seam and set the vee depth male to full allowance. Only the throat notch depth will change (on the cheek) to what you set in the options tab, the heel notch will only go to what the seam allowance is on the cheek.

That's good to know. But unfortunately, I already had that set.

I believe something along these settings might help you...at least this is how i have ours set. We don't seem to have any issues with male or female notching on the cheeks/heels/throats.
