CADmep 2019 Issues
« on: May 18, 2018, 15:00:03 PM »
Notice a couple of Issues first hand:

1. Floating Tool Tip to work I had to Uncheck Show ToolTips and Uncheck Show Rollover Tooltips (Opposite of Previous versions) Typing Forcetooltip with these checked had no affect as well.

2. Rollover Tooltip Elevation for CID910 Reports only Bottom Elevation. (No Level Blocks in Drawing) Previous versions showed Top and Bottom.

Haven't looked at all yet , but seems to run much smoother and faster than 2017/2018 using Windows 10

The Fix to get Top and Bottom Elevation in the Floating Tooltip is to make sure in Options Connectors is "YES"

The stepped end connector has a value of "Lining Thickness" but the overall length of the duct isnt including the stepped connector makes it 50mm short.

Craig, I see no change in Stepped End between 2017 and 2019 still working as designed. Can you post sample dwg of you issue?

cadbob,

I havent moved over to 2019 until the bugs are fixed. The attached image is from the OOTB database but clearly shows the new behaviour on the stepped ends. The new stepped end value has an option to pick lining thickness instead of having to create varying connectors to match the lining thickness. You will also notice that the G ext value has been removed. The overall length of the stepped end reports 50mm too short. I'm told this will be fixed in the next update.

Ahhh I see that, I like the Liner Thickness Option, but mine is set to -1 for 1" Ductmate LinerStop) and -2" for the 2"Ductmate LinerStop.

I will have to test that option, but as you said I will probably come up short. But when Fixed will be nice as it will allow less connections for different thickness liners
