Tag Leader
« on: Jul 13, 2018, 18:29:16 PM »
Do any of you know setting that controls leader on/off?
I want to use MOVETEXT command but it automatically pulls the leader out and I do need it.

I tried in database-> annotation tab->number text->offset x,y set to 0 and it did not do anything

Thanks!

I have  tag numbers in my spools with no leader but when I want to use command movetext it automatically brings a leader out of tag number. So, I was wondering if there is a way to turn off the leader while using movetext command
Hope this make sense.

You would have to toggle that setting on and off.

Don't use the MOVETEXT Command. Highlight the tag and grab it by its blue node. Ill check more after work to think of more ways

Uncheck the box for "Lock leader in position when moving" in the database and you should be good to go.

Yeah, as mentioned above, no command needed to move them, just grab them, unless they happen to be on vertical ducts, then you'll need the command...

I am using both (depends on the complexity of my drawings), so it really helped me to get rid of the leader.

Something I've done and seen others do is using ALIASEDIT and setting up easy hotkeys for annotation functions like this.

I set RR to be ROTTEXT, TT to be MOVETEXT, etc.

I might be weird but I actually prefer MOVETEXT functionality over the grips, but definitely not typing out the command or hunting buttons.

Nothing weird, mine is QQ for moving tags and text and QW to rotate them, only reason I used those letters, they are very easy to reach   ;D
