Does anyone have a simple report that will give me a total material weight of anything i select?  I know nothing is simple with reports but there has to me something i can start with.  The end game is to window a drawing and print out a report that will give me total pounds on that floor or area.  Where i run into trouble is getting a accurate weight on double wall duct and lined duct.  I can't seem to get the weight of the liner to add to the material weight.  If i draw an unlined duct and a lined duct, they both come out with the same weight.  I think i might need to split out the liner separately but i also don't see a way to report on the item insulation weight.

Any ideas or suggestions would be helpful.

I am using Fabrication CADmep 2018

You can try this. I made it for comparing our EST (quote soft) to what we had fabricated. I just lists everything by material, length and total weight.

Hope this helps.

We have created reports like this but you must make sure that all your items have the weights coded into them which isn't always the case sadly.

When we rebuilt our database we made sure that everything we created that had weights available we coded into the itms.

I am new on the forum
And i am looking for a way to tell the company i work for how many pounds of ductwork i drew. I am using fabriaction mep
We sub the fab out and they just want me to compare pounds of what i drew to what the other shop says they fabricated.
I am also horrible with computers.
I am the only one who uses this software as of now where I work too.
Hopefully its something easy
Thanks
