Product List Connector Specifications Conflict

Hey guys/gals,

I product listed my Straight (CID#866) to assign some custom data. The product list leaves connectors unlisted and the connectors are left unlocked but now connector specs aren't working. They still work fine for this item's uncatalogued counterpart. Is this a known issue?... is there a fix?

I've just run into this myself.  We purchase some round duct fittings which only come in specific sizes, so we created a product list for them.  But we then swage open one end or the other (or both for some Tees) in the shop.  Therefore, we need to leave the connectors unlocked, but it will not pick up the connectors from the spec.  Otherwise, I'll have to create (and the draftsman will have to pick) a separate duct object for each possible configuration (ie - swage on the small end of a reducer vs the large end).

Am I not getting something?  Is there no way to get a product listed item to pick up connector information from the spec?

Did either of you ever get this figured out? I'm having the same issue with CID#60. The non-product listed version pics up the specs just fine but the product listed version give me the Specification is Invalid warning. It sees the specification - puts the correct connector on, but won't apply the material.

If I lock the material it works fine, and I can run it like that, but if there's a cause that I can fix I would rather fix it, or have knowledge of how to fix it if I run into this again instead of using a band aid to get by.

Did anyone ever get this resolved? I am product listing oval straights to keep to the sizes we build. Then any fittings they attach would assume that restricted size.

I was thinking of doing the same with the spiral straights as well. That way, the detailers could use a welded seam option for the rare oddity.

Are you going to properties and checking the "catalogue" box? If it is checked the material does not want to change, but the gauge will. If I leave it uncheck with a product list, it does not want to draw correctly but the material will change. What I wound up doing was having a spiral oval or round straight for each material we use galvanized, stainless, etc.
