Bluebeam 3D export with FAB parts
« on: Sep 21, 2018, 13:43:33 PM »
Howdee

i just downloaded the free trial of bluebeam CAD with the hopes of sending 3d verification drawings to the field.
I have not been able to successfully create a 3D pdf with fabrication parts in it, works with solids but crashes out cad when i add a fab part..... is it a me thing or has this been an issue?

Yes, it seems there is an issue with the latest version. I updated Bluebeam 2018.2 a couple weeks ago, and hadn't used the 3d pdf function until I saw this post. If any fab parts are in the drawing it immediately crashes cad.   In Navis it just ignores the fab parts and plots the solids. It was functional in the previous version 2018.1 as I was doing 3d pdf's for a job quite often. It was before the the plug-in for 2019 cad was available tho, as I was utilizing Navis 2018v for these exports.
