ESTmep 2017.2.3 lining labour missing from report
craigjonnson:
We have been experiencing different costs out of Estmep. I discovered that certain users were on different builds. Those who had been updated to the latest build have an error in their reporting, that omits the fabrication rate calc from the lining values.
Those who are on an earlier SP, do not have this issue. I'm currently investigating the problem further, settings etc.
If anyone knows of any other changes that might affect this or know if this is just a bug, I'd really appreciate the assistance.
The issue is related to fabrication rates for lining on straights only. Looking at the 2018.2 builds, it has the same issue. Does anyone know if there has been a setting change since 2017.1?

2017.2.2 update was revoked. But it listed as one of the fixed issues....
"Improved Fabrication Times for Straights when Doublewall is turned On/Off."
This isn't listed in the 2017.3 update which historically are cumulative.
You can report it but they likely won't fix it. There's hardly anybody left that even knows how all that code works.

Hi Darren,
Always appreciate your response. I had noticed the revoke and the "Improved Fabrication Times for Straights when Doublewall is turned On/Off"crept back into the 2018.1 build.
What I don't understand is after I created 2 pieces of a duct with the same service, same length, and size but applied lining to one of the pieces. I ran a report from 2017.1 and noticed that the fabrication hours are different from the later EstMEP builds. These builds are from 2017.2.3 and onwards to 2019. Our Duct manufacturers fabrication times match the report that comes out of 2017.1. I've attached snippets of the 2 values from the different builds.

UPDATE:
Autodesk has confirmed that this is a defect within the program. This defect affects builds 2017.2.3 and upwards to the latest 2019 build. The issue is related to the conditional tables which we have set up for rates on installing lining to our ductwork. These tables are not being picked up in the cost breakdown or reports.
Darren Young:
How are you applying the labor?
Value set in the breakpoint table? cost per area on the material?
If value set in the breakpoint table, are the breakpoints the same as the metal? Each value set uses the same rows/columns but in the US, Smacna labor is setup differently between metal and liner.
