2019 step-down connector
« on: Feb 18, 2019, 19:25:01 PM »
I have been messing around with this type of connector in fabrication 2019. The following link does not make much since to me and was wondering if anyone could explain this better then autocad.

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/fabrication-products/learn-explore/caas/CloudHelp/cloudhelp/2019/ENU/Fabrication-UsersGuide/files/GUID-34EF0ADD-8C81-4608-8D73-5784F9D2ACB3-htm.html?st=step%20down

Thanks In Advance.
Don

Edit: Never mind we have our step down connectors drawing and developing correct.

Don, did you get this to work? I am adding a step down connector to our database and I can see the added material for the step down, but I want the connector to be notched 45° for easier assembly and I cannot get that to work...

I will check when I get to work in the morning. I have not had any complaints from the shop.

Santos,
This the development of a 12" long piece of duct with a 2" TDF insulation stop on 1 end. is this what you are looking for?

I will talk to our cam person when they get here in an hour or two.

How did you get the Step Down Connector have that 45 notch on it? Everything we have tried does not yields that 45

I will get with our cam person and see if he can make a few screen shots. We worked together setting them up.

The only problem I have found on the cad side is it under sizes the duct connected.

Thank you so much Don, it works now here too, is the STEP DOWN connector that is not explained too well on CAM, we just did the same created a notch and applied it to a connector, and gave up on STEP DOWN connectors...

You are very welcome.
That thing took us some time to figure out.

How much allowance are you giving for the TDF connection turnover? the same half inch or more?
I've tried it and I am thinking instead of TDF connection, 1.5 inch for DM J-Flange.

I've only ever needed this step down connection for FSD that didn't take into account duct lining.
