If there's any Stratus users out there, feel free to post questions. There's a few other of us around.  Happy to help if I can.

Just getting rolling...a little behind due to a variety of things like 3 weeks of Jury Duty, new coil line, laser, waterjet, 4th tigerstop.

I'll be pushing a large batch of Carbon pipe through Stratus tomorrow to shortcut programming our Watts.

The system solves a lot of issues for us (or will do). But because it deals with your processes and workflow, it can take a bit of time to figure out what you want to do with it as it's pretty flexible.

I'm trying to gather stats now on how many Files it will eliminate on our servers. Every machine seems to come with it's own additional set of data and files to run them. That whole file based system relies of people to do the right thing, name things properly and put them in the right place. Shop then needs to be equally file savvy and know how to manage files. Stratus eliminates all that on a number of our machines.

Also lets me run a machine with only an Internet connection so no more having IT fight with the machine tool vendor about putting antivirus on the control as the networks no longer need to be integrated.

Give me a holler if you want to discuss more...you know where to find me David. :-)

Stratus user here. Liking it so far, but takes some time to get it customized with your standards and workflow. Also, getting a workable FabParts database up and running so that we get what we want in Stratus from the model is a challenge. We are metric SM (Except round) and Imperial piping, so creating a lot of fields to convert units is necessary, but we are getting there. :-)

So you're new to Fab Parts too? Post any questions and I'm happy to help if I can.  Seems like every meeting to discuss improvements or existing issues lately has a "Stratus" will help with that answer...so much so that I'm getting concerned that everyone will want everything all at once.

Adam Rich was just out this week and showed us a little trick to get a custom Revit parameter to be editable in Stratus.

Add me to the list of users.  Just getting my feet wet, but so far I am pretty impressed with Stratus.

Let me know if you need any help on the PypeSrver side. I've worked with both GTP and PypeServer and it's dialed in pretty good.

Working w/GTP to try to get them to enhance a few more things like automatically lengthening welded pipe to compensate for the grind on the bevel or shorten the pipe to compensate for growth for things like AGS roll goove.

Most of this can be accomplished in your database connectors but that creates another whole slew of issues like more complication of connectors, nodes off the ends of pipe which can lead to inaccurate dimensions/reporting as to the "true length" and just philosophically...you shouldn't have to make an "inaccurate model" to get your finished product correct.

But in general..it works pretty good. Saves us about $30-35k in labor not having to program the machine manually.
