I'm just starting to investigate Stratus.
A step by step simple 'how to get started' would be a great start for anyone looking to implement.
Like, 'what do I need before I implement?'
Tough question Dave. As I've told folks here, Stratus isn't software...it's a system. Just like we don't sell Pipe Fittings and Valves...we sell Mechanical Systems.
So what does a Systems do? Just about whatever you configure it to do. That's really the hardest part.
It helps to get an understanding of all the things it "can" do to figure out what you want to tackle first.
Yesterday, we just pushed our first batch of Carbon Steel pipe to PypeServer/Watts machine with it. We shoe horned it in as it was already detailed. Short cut hours of of programming the machine. And we didn't need to do a complete Stratus workflow. We're developing those now...Spooling and releasing work packages to the shop is our priority along with machine tool integration.
Not sure what's next but we might increase the granularity of shor workflows next or may push to track shipping/logistics to the field.
Procurement and Supply chain is likely the last thing we'll work on.
