Setting up pipe service correctly for design line
« on: Sep 10, 2020, 15:18:13 PM »
So many years ago (mid 2000's) I used CADmep as an end user. I barely remember how to use it.
Last week I was tasked with setting up CADmep for my company. I've set up a service for CHWR and have placed a tab populated with copper pipe and fittings, and one with carbon steel pipe and fittings. The copper tab is first in line then the carbon steel tab.
I have also set up button mappings with separate ones for copper and steel. See below.

So my problem is that when I draw my design line with larger pipe sizes (2 1/2" and up) which should be carbon steel, I am only getting copper pipe and fittings populated.
I am assuming that somewhere I need to set up size restrictions somewhere, but I am not sure where. Nothing I have tried has worked so far.
Can someone direct me on how to fix this issue? Even a place that would explain how to set it up correctly.
Thanks

I use Revit so not design line but is may be similar.
There are 2 levels of control.

Multiple Buttons.
Create a new condition by right click indicated red.
OK
Select the condition
Drag the buttons from folders into the pallet
These buttons then have that condition applied.

More Conditions for each Button.
Right click on Button
Button Properties
Double click the fitting in the button properties box
Add further restrictions.
