Invalid Part Specification in Revit
« on: Jan 26, 2022, 15:44:07 PM »
We have a couple of Revit projects using Fab 2020 Piping Parts & Revit 2020... These couple of projects are running extremely slow... we've done everything we could in side of Revit to clean up the files... nothing helps. So I checked the Revit Warnings, highlighting thousands of issues with “The part specification is invalid”.

There is a fix from Autodesk to set "<= Dim" to a large value like "9999". Is this really the issue? I can't see everyone creating all new specs to accomplish this. It seems to be the pipe only not the ftgs.

We are transitioning so i have to keep Fabrication the same so we dont get "Specification invallid" in CAD.

Also, the particular projects have had services changed, material of services changed many times... reload configuration... unload... etc.

sorry for the long post - any thoughts?

thanks in advance!

Anyone figure this out? We just noticed this seems to be common now in a lot of our files.

Interesting. I don't recall the original post but will check into it.

CNASH, is it for the older versions (like mentioned in the OP) or all/other versions?

Noticing it on 2024 at least which is where the majority of our projects are currently.

Yes, I am seeing the same thing in 2023 and 2024.  :-\

There are of 1200 of them on a small project. I exported them into AutoCAD and they are fine.  ::)

Changed the <=Dim to "999" and it seems to have fixed the issue.
