Changes with connectors?
« on: Mar 01, 2022, 22:35:38 PM »
Has anyone else been having recent issues with connectors that used to work correctly?
I have had several connectors that, over the past couple of weeks, are no longer applying the Straights and Turnover allowances the same way they had been from the time I created the connectors. We have been a lot of strange cuts and inconsistent lengths.
For example, I have a 1x1/2 IKT connector that had a 1" step down and a 1/2" turnover. It has worked correctly like that from the time I created. Now however, the 1/2" turnover is being applied differently, or not being applied at all, I can't really tell which. In order to get the correct development, I am having to put the entire connector allowance in the stepdown allowance. Even then, while the development looks right, it measure a 1/2" short.

If you are only seeing this with straight duct, I would guess that you're seeing the problem that's associated with dynamic holes.

If that is the case - selecting only the duct with taps associated to them, and nothing else -taps included, and then update the dynamic holes ( command : UPDATEDYNAMICHOLES or UDH) might solve your problem. I've found this easier to do in CADmep.

Or you can turn them off in the database settings and then wipe the holes, ( command : WIPEDYNAMICHOLES OR WDH).  You'll no longer have the issue - but then you won't have the holes.

That has been my experience any way.
