The latest version of Revit 2023 has a new feature shown below. The issue is that when you try to place fittings, valves, couplings that have the same connector on both sides it can not decide what to use and will not attach them.
The parts will still cut in just fine but you will not be able to add them on at the end of a run
And yes I am aware that "Insert Part" is now the new default and that is not the problem

do you have "points" on in your snap settings? I get that issue in all versions if I do not have that snap on. I have not installed the latest 2023 yet for testing

Yes, i have tested the same parts on 2023.0.2 and 2022 and it is only an issue in this last version of 2023. parts that have a different C1 and C2 will connect just fine

I've restricted that update due to 3D views crashing out Revit. This is happening on multiple machines and only since the update was rolled out. Thank you for being open about the issues you had.

I wanted to add more details to this now that I have done more digging,
the biggest issue I am seeing is on CID#868 and connectors in my database that have been designed to be blank or no connects
The issue on valves is if you have a value set for Diameter #3 or #4 it will cut in to a run but it will not attach on the open end of a connector
I am still trying to narrow down exactly where the issue is coming from on the blink/blank connectors is coming from and I will update if I have more information

With all that being said even though this only seems like 2-3 issues I would still not recommend installing this update yet as they made major changes to how things connect

Hey Frank,

We are also experiencing these issues after updating. We had to due to an issue that was deleting parts back to a certain point when adding the final part.

They fixed that, but now have introduced many additional bugs and or "different" functionality that I reported immediately.
