Points not showing up in point manager
« on: Oct 05, 2023, 17:29:38 PM »
I have a rectangular sleeve, CID#1972, that produces points in AutoCAD. In Revit with evolve point manager it does not show up.

How do I fix this?

I haven't started in Revit yet, but based on what I have learned, Some of the fittings do not transfer to Revit. Darren Young has a large amount of information on this topic. See BIM There Done That website. You may have to go another  route to get the point info out.

One thing to check in Revit is if these points are being cut off by the view range.  Try cutting a section and making sure the entire sleeve is within the view range of the level you are working in, then check.  I've had that issue.

I also suggest looking at using the eVolve AutoSleeves.  takes a little bit to get how they work and setting them up to populate the way you want... but they are way easier to deal with and trimble than the ITM sleeves we were trying to use (that also did not trimble in Revit even though they did in CAD)

The only Fabrication part points that the point manager will recognize is from MEP Hangers. All other points you add to your project must be the eVPoint. You can easily nest these points into any family you wish and they will show on the point manager.

The evolve website has a (relatively) easy tutorial page on how to get the parameters to report correctly to the nested point  here: https://help-mechanical.evolvemep.com/field-layout-points/nesting-points
