ESTMEP - Estimating Summary Wrong
« on: Oct 20, 2023, 08:11:44 AM »
Hi,

Has anyone discovered that the Fabrication hours given in the Estimating summary are incorrect?
I have a job 5 pieces of duct for testing. The total comes out to 2.36 hours to make. The estimating summary reports 2.21 Hours.
If i use the reports, and add the fabrication fields by hours. It reports the same as 2.21. If i use a calculated field and change my fabrication reports to minutes / 60 I get 2.36 which is correct.

Anyone know why these would be different?
Edit* this is ESTMEP 2021.
Item fabrication time line by line, if i calculate these manually these equal the calculated formula for Fabrication Time Mins/60.
If i set the Fabrication time to hours, I get a different result equal to what is stated in the Quick Summary.

Could it be how the report is set up versus the summary? Reporting can be by item rate, per item qty, or total item which should be the same information, but presented differently. Where I don't think the estimating summary gives that option.

Thanks Jona, I have been caught out by that in the past and very aware of it today. Thank you for responding though.
Turns out im an idiot, I was reporting out the CSV which nominated everything in seconds, converting this i overlooked that the hours were decimal. Face plant... :-[
