Does anyone know why Revit refuses to save MAJ files to a network drive? The only error I get it Fabrication export failed

What's the debug process here? I looked through the journal files but nothing stuck out at me

I researched it for about 30 minutes once. I just tell people to put a temp folder on their desktop then move it from there.  But really, I have done the temp folder for years. Simply because I hate running down a file path multiple times if I have to redo a file. I just leave it temp until I know the file is right. I am just lazy like that.

This has unfortunately been a problem since Revit 2022, we export to a local folder and then move them to the project folder. I haven't found a solution as to why this still is broken but it is.

Unless someone else has better luck on something?

No same here, just presumed that network drives were unsupported. At least you get a fail message, i get a 0 kb maj file

It seems the issue lies in how Revit sees the network folder address.

Z:\\Documents and \\NAS\Documents are the exact same location, but how they are treated programatically is different.

If this wasn't an issue prior to 2022, then that seems like a regression and should be fairly easy to track down.
