Radius Corner Access Door For Rectangular
« on: Oct 05, 2009, 20:16:16 PM »
OK I know of 2 CIDs for access doors: 504 & 580.  Are there any others?
I am looking for a door that looks like CID 580 but goes on rectangular.  I can set CID 504 to have radius corners... but it still shows a rectangle that plots (ugly) and has cams instead of the knobs.  If you want a manufactures example look up the Dyn-O-Mate flat access door.  Looks like the attached picture.

Couldn't you use the one available for Round Ducts and use a diameter sooooo large that the door would look flat?

I tried that, wasn't user friendly.  Places the object from the center of the duct and puts it half the diameter away (I had used a diameter of 999), so it was really far away and left me with a HUGE attacher arrow.

Next....

Oh yeah....that.... it will try to place itself from duct centerline...ideal for round...you're right, it would take too much time to place correctly...

Cool, I just figured that CADduct could do it on rectangular if it can do it on round.

Do you have multiple sizes in a catalog?  Different manufacturers?  Just curious.

Digging this back from the grave.
I noticed our rectangular access doors based on CID 504 don't work in EST in designline. They can manually be placed but size a bit odd.
CID 580 will place on both Round & Rectangular, but of course looks quite a bit off on rectangular and doesn't seem to automatically size correctly.

Anyone figure something out over the years?
