Color Of Alias Text

I've been dealing with an issue for a while now involving Alias text. I am trying to print these Alias tags in a specific color and no matter what I do the Alias tags always print black.

I have tried using "True Color" settings in layer manager. I have reviewed the Plot Style. I have reviewed the "CAD Types" section of the database...

I can get size, elevation, etc. to print in whatever color I want. Alias is the only tag that is giving me trouble.

Any ideas as to what could be giving me trouble?

How are you controlling your text color in AutoCAD: separate layer as the other tags, built into the Ctext, etc?

Separate layers created by the CAD Types settings. For ex: _Size, _Elevation, _Alias,  etc.

Does it display correctly on the screen in model space? What about paperspace?

I have tags set to only display in paperspace, and yes they do display the correct color.
