Adding flanges when optimizing lengths.
« on: Oct 09, 2024, 16:02:24 PM »
Hi!

I'm looking for a way to have Revit put in flange connections when optimizing lengths instead of just a shop weld.  Does anyone know how to map that in fabrication MEP?  Thanks in advance

I'm not a pipe guy, so I'm not entirely sure, but I believe you want to use the connector matching feature.

What about excluding the weld object itself from fill?

What about excluding the weld object itself from fill?

"No available couplings to connect standard lengths for this instance of straight". when you exclude the weld from fill

however if you select the weld and change it to a flange in the drop down menu it will bring in two flanges and update the number of welds etc pretty smart actually
