What Addins to Use for Revit
« on: Oct 15, 2024, 17:09:33 PM »
What addins are popular for Revit these days?

I downloaded a trial of Victaulic Tools thinking it would aid with my current Fabrication database, and the interface seems to be geared for Vic applications (and rightfully so).

Basically I have OOTB Revit and am currently seeking an addin or method to better install fitting to fitting, taps, etc.

If you plan to stick to your fabrication database, Evolve Mechanical, Victaulic tools, and Virtual Mechanic are all nice tools, although there is no plugin that will do everything. If you want to completely do away with ITM parts, then Trimble SysQue could be another option. I wasn't a fan.

Darren Young has a good post about plugin solutions here:

Our company uses Evolve, which we've found to offer the most features and customization for our processes. Downsides are it is expensive, and it takes a while to learn the more advanced utilities it offers. It is more geared towards computer savvy users (not all offices have those...)

We also use PypeServer connect for sending data to the watts machine, and DiRoots Prosheets for batch printing/exporting coordination files.
