Export NWC to bring back into Revit to schedule elements
« on: Dec 12, 2024, 19:17:08 PM »
Greetings,

I have been asked if there is a way to do this for an estimate. The Revit model is unavailable to us, so the only option is to do a manual takeoff or use this Navisworks file. It is a very complex project created mostly in Revit but there seems to be some Plant 3D elements in it as well. I have tried to export to a .FBX file and open it in 3DS Max, but the export to DWG/DXF keeps failing. I tried an add-in for Navisworks that exports to .IFC but the geometry fails when trying to open that with Revit. Does anyone know of a way that this has been done successfully, or is it a failed venture?

Quantification workbook!!! I just did a massive take off this week and it worked really well. It will output an excel sheet with pivot tables and what not. It was a bit wonky on the pipe but there was a pretty easy work around.

Message me if you have questions or just start searchin the youztubez.
