Notch back for oversize seams
« on: Feb 18, 2025, 19:30:00 PM »
I need to have my 1" standing seam female side notch back 3/4" at TDC so it doesn't interfere with the TDC forming machine. This ability seams to have gone away with V2022. Since then we have been hand notching standing seams.
If I use the new Notch column under the Oversize Seams in the database it will apply that notch to the TDC notch and leave a huge gap where the standing seam intersects the TDC.
Does anyone know how to set the oversize to notch back just enough to allow the metal to run through the TDC roll formers?

I am having a similar issue with an oversize seam we have created.  My TDC oversize notches back the required amount on the pits seam but I can't get it to work on the new seam.  I thought it was just me.  Looking forward to a solution.

To fix this you have to edit developments and insert horizontal slices, then for each horizontal slice, then place your veritcal slices. This was the only way I could make the oversized segment seams to work.
But this appears to have been fixed in 2025 as the automatic segment works, but the method described above does not.
Always fix one and break the other with the updates.
