Hello,
I'm using Fabrication 2024 ductwork (company created database) in Revit 2024. There will be times where I'll convert the Revit duct to fabrication, and then will need to fix a few areas that did not convert well. Sometimes, I'll have an issue like the one in the picture attached where I should have a duct tap connecting to a square elbow or other fitting, but it won't allow the connection. There's an arrow icon I can grab to stretch the elbow, but it won't snap to anything, meaning I'll need to eyeball the length needed to stretch it. With the rectangular icon at the connection, instead of stretching the elbow, a straight will be created to go between the elbow and the tap, in this case being about an inch long. In Fabrication, I also have the straight to have a minimum stretch of 8", so this is below this minimum. I've also looked at the minimum/maximum stretch for the square elbow in Fabrication and nothing there seems to be the cause for this issue.
I don't draw ductwork in Revit that often at the moment, so I don't recall if there's something I'm needing to do differently, or if this is just a Revit quirk. Any advice on how to make it so the fitting can be stretched and snap to a connection without adding a straight would be helpful. Overall, this seems to be an issue with some other fittings as well where it will either just move the fitting when I grab the rectangular grip, or it will leave the fitting unchanged, but add a straight to make up the difference in length when the fitting piece should be able to be stretched that length
Thanks in advance.
