Fabrication 2026
« on: Apr 22, 2025, 14:46:50 PM »
7 software iterations later and this is still an issue, I give up...

Double Wall Round ductwork with a SLIP connector SPEC is still an issue where the program REFUSES to place a coupler between ducts or between fittings, this used to work from Release 10 thru Release 2018 without an issue, why is it that this cannot be fixed?, please enlighten me with an answer as to why this cannot be fix ever... and no, it is not because we use INSIDE DIMS and INSIDE SKIN, that is not a proper answer, we have to because industry standard is to always size ducts on plans based on ID and all of our double wall fittings calculate the OD based on our own custom calculations...

Hi Santos

The core Fabrication team is actively working through pattern-related issues, as outlined in our public roadmap. We also shared updates on this progress during the MEP Futures briefing, and we genuinely appreciate your continued interest and feedback as we move forward.

Thank you as well for your response to the post I shared back in November on regarding the upcoming work on double wall, your engagement is truly valued.

Our initial focus for double wall will be on rectangular systems, as this is where we've seen the highest volume of reported issues. That said, we’ve noted your concern about the round coupling and will be looking into it to see how it might fit into the broader rollout.

I want to sincerely apologize for the time it’s taken to get to this. We’re being deliberate in our approach, focusing on areas that are technically strategic or where we've received the most user feedback, rather than trying to address everything at once. Your patience and ongoing input play an important role in helping us make meaningful, lasting improvements.

Thanks Craig! Hopefully I can see it happen on a Rel 26 update soon!  ;)
