Spool INI in revit to exempt no hub couplings and welds?
« on: Apr 14, 2025, 15:26:09 PM »
In cad, we had a spool INI that we could use to exempt things like welds and no hub couplings from getting tagged when the spools were created.  I am not that familiar with how our spooling process works (we use eVovle and a lot of that comes set up from them and I've just tweaked it a bit) so I don't know if we can do the same thing in Revit and exempt some items from getting tagged when the spools are created.  It would save a lot of time.  anybody know?

Since you're using evolve, you'll need to go to the title block you are using for the spooling. Pick the view window that you are using that shows the tags (we use only the 3D view to show tags) and in the properties you'll see the parameter "NumberTagIgnoreId's". You want to put in the number of the service type of the items you want evolve to ignore for tagging. This number comes from the database. Go to edit part > Item tab. There is a drop down by Service Type and there you will see all the numbers that you can enter.

In the images you'll see "57" is welds, so we put that number in "NumberTagIgnoreId's". You can enter multiple service types in this parameter by separating by commas.

If you tag in multiple views for the spool, you need to do this in each window that is generating a view.
