Merging Databases
« on: Feb 04, 2026, 21:40:03 PM »
We have multiple branches throughout the country, and are planning on merging the databases to make one unified database. Currently, the plan is to take our DB and integrate other locations. Ours was picked as the starting point since our location has the most integrated manufacturing setup. ITMs would be assimilated and have common data. We would need to integrate pricing data via Harrison as well.

After getting copies of the ITM content, I am planning on scrubbing/integrating/find duplicate data via PowerBI, scripts, Look-up tables, etc.

The timeline is just under 1-1/2 years so I am just getting my head around it and making notes as I things are revealed to me. If others feel like sharing any tips and pitfalls for this process it would be greatly appreciated.
