Is there a way to make the estimating side of the program to automatically add pipe couplings if you take off 2 pieces of pipe in a row?, say we take off 10' of pipe and the next fitting taken off is also a piece of pipe and have the program automatically add a pipe coupling? Also if you add 200' of pipe in one keystroke, have it take off automatically 19 or 20 pipe couplings. Is there a hidden switch somewhere I am missing?. It works right if on CAD.

Is this Forum more for CAM and CAD questions/problems? Is there another forum somewhere else for EST?

You are in the right place. There just are not a lot of EST users at this time. Be patient and persistent.

Andy ,do you have any answers or someone who helped with the program? It would be nice to have this fixed.

I think you need to be using design line for the program to automatically add couplings. I'm not using that right now but hope to know more about it soon. If I find something out I will post. Please do the same. Thanks.

Design Line will do it yes but not for a standard takeoff. We are talking with TSI about this

RC2 is now capable of calculating coupling correctly on pipe entered as 200' without design line. MAP has modified the structure of the application a bit to accomodate this request. When the next revision is released, you will be able to manage couplings in standard takeoff mode as well as with Design line. Be patient, we are very close to releasing the imperial configuration.

Thanks for the info, Lewis. As a general request of MAP and TSI can we get a list of changes when the new version for cad, cam, and est comes out? Thanks.
