Straight labels
« on: May 27, 2008, 13:48:39 PM »
Is there any way to exclude spiral straight labels when printing out our straight labels. We only print straight labels for our rectangular shop and do not want spiral labels printed. I cannot find a calculated field where we can exclude CID's in the straight label reports. Any help would be appreciated!!!!
I'm just happy to be here!!!!

The only thing I can think of is to separate your spiral from your coil. I've never run into this before; We process our coil separately from our spiral because they have different reports associated with them, and are manufactured in different shops under different cost codes. Also, we use a custom worksheet for our spiral tags; with worksheets you can filter by CID.
I didn't touch it.

Asides from creating a Rectangular and a Spiral CAM separately....I don't think Labels offer much for filtering....

Could this be moved to the "Wish List"? To add some customizable filters for straight labels and maybe even "service type" specific labels.

Don't know what others think of this but with as many people that are using the "Labels" as "Finish" labels then I do believe this would be of some help.

We also use "Worksheets" for our "Finish" labels this allows (like peteco said) to filter by certain catagories. This makes the whole process really easy.

this would be nice to have as i have created a worksheet for spiral labels. but in trying to create a worksheet for coil labels i have found a lot of info that we would like on the labels missing from the options list.
is this another TSI "completely customizable" problem?

slow day. still no answer to this.

still would like to be able to seperate spiral labels  from the straight label tag without making two different worksheets. especially because all the options are not available in worksheets to duplicate our coil line labels.

This looks like it hasn't gotten to the "in the works" stage yet, if you recieved a call back AND sent an esj.  :(

I take it no one found a way to do this outside of separating out the spiral yet?

Yes, we're still have to battle two unique Databases one for Spiral and one for Rectangular...
