CID#875 connectors
« on: Jan 06, 2009, 17:32:58 PM »
Where is Connector #1 controlled from?
I need both of connector #1 & #2 to be pipe size, but connector #1 is defaulting to a fittings size connector.
I thought I could fix it in Edit, but Connector #1 is grayed out. How do I change it?

Connector #1 should default to "None" and in turn connector #2 drives the size of the pipe so if you have a connector showing up in Connector #2 then this will drive your pipe to be a fitting size.

If you're looking to put a flange on the end of the item this is controlled in the options #9 (Branch Allowance to Pipe).

C1 would be if it had a PIPE Body, but also is C2 and that one is not greyed out, anything I place on C2 does nothing....C3 is the outlet of the fitting itself...

FYI, this is MAP's way to keep us in our toes....you'll learn that soon....  :D

Dave, by flange you mean like a 1" allowance? and then, if so, you have a machine that can actually form 1" like that?....we are limited to 3/8"....

Yeah we have flattening dies in the shop and I believe they can turn up to 1.5" flange out.

only the good mechanics can do it though :D  The heavier the gauge the more you can turn, up to about 1.5" like Dave said with the flattening dies of our turning machines

Sweet.....I wish we had one....for that same fitting, what we do, is use the Plate Border Option....
