I feel your pain.  Been there, done that, wrote the check, and then wrote another.

Your choices are:
1.  Convert it manually using the match properties box and changing the sizes by hand (labor intensive).
2.  Pay someone with scripting to do it (solves one time delima but not future problems)
3.  Purchase the scripting option (you already have the code so the work is done for you).

Choose your pain ;)

Keep in mind that increasing dimensions and adding liner with a script will most likely leave you with overlap at fittings like elbows.  Probably not as important in EST, but it is in CAD.  In case that didn't make sense: if you have an elbow with a joint of straight as the next object, when you increase the size the elbows node locations will move (or at least one of them), which will leave the straight in it's original location.

This just in from TSI: "Bad news, you have to purchase the code because the EST key is a chargeable item. We will contact your sales rep for a pricing and let you know how much it will cost"

I hear you VP.
I've added 33 items and change many buttons on the template they sent us because it didn't have everthing we need during the course of our takeoffs.

My co workers think that with est duct I should be able to do a complete take off of rectangular duct and fittings (without liner) then, because the customer forgot to tell us all the duct is lined, make a couple of key strokes and miraculously have the pieces increase their sizes and add in the liner.
I say it can't be done. They think it can. What's the deal?

Late to the party I know, but...

The way I do this is to highlight the items to be lined in the items list, right click, select "properties", click "inside dims" to increase duct size, then turn the appropriate liner on.  Works for me.

Good luck,
Matt

Just make sure you don't keep going into properties or the duct size will keep increasing until you uncheck the "Inside Dims" check box.

Dave, duct size WILL increase only if the group of ducts selected happens to be all the same size....if they are not, Size will display Mixture, or something like that and it won't change the original duct sizes...

We found out the hard way...
