Adjustable Elbow

<< < (3/4) > >>

cnash:
Anyone figured this one out in all these years?
Trying to get some info from manufacturers on dimensioning depending on angle but haven't gotten anything yet.

Axl:
Never tried a variable angle fitting, but many of my valves have formulas that change the dimensions depending of other values, in my case, pipe length, diameters and other, but you can use it for angle in this case as there is no conditionals in the calculated fields this present a double challenge, but is an idea. This could be really easy, if the length of the gore and the other dimensions obey a formula, if not, then not sure if it is possible.

DotNet:
I'm with Andy on this one. If were using adjustable elbows it's small low pressure round and 61 will be "close enough".

I would be surprised if you did. There are literally dozens of ways to adjust these. You can make an offset out of an adjustable elbow if you wanted to.

LOl exactly, we aren't building space shuttles, :) plus dang raw coils alone have 1/2" Plus/Minus Tolerance.

I actually had one of our guys bring one into the office so I can see exactly what bends I can make with the ones we buy. Out of a 90 Adjustable I can get (1) offset, (1) 60 Elbow & (2) 30 Elbows. There are more 2-way offsets you can get as well, but I'm not worried about those. No chance of a 45 out of a 90 unless you break it in half and use the top half alone.
