Skid Equipment in Revit Model
TFuller:
This and other types of skid equipment needs to go into my Revit Model. The entire plumbing Construction Document package this time will be in Revit. I'm thinking of building it in CADmech, exploding, and inserting the cad into a new Revit Family (standard process for a lot of manufacturers).
The question is, how far do I go?

I would probably just model the basic shapes and the connection points, none of the other piping associated with it.

You can use the basic features in Revit(mep) to build a family. All there....you can use existing families in families

I agree. I typically try to spend the least amount of time modeling equipment.
