Item Support Fixings
« on: Aug 11, 2011, 03:37:13 PM »
I see that I can include to report "ITEM SUPPORT FIXINGS" In my hanger reports.
My question is where I set this data in my hangers? I have looked around but can not seem to find the place to enter what I need reported or even where this pulls its data from.

I remember that at last years Users Group in Vegas, the presenter for the reports class had mentioned releasing a list of all the options on the left side of the screen that we can choose from and where to access them. It has been only a year, but I would still love to get one of these lists. This would speed up making the reports and probably enlighten me to all the options available.  :D

Go into supports and click on one and go to the breakpoints of it.

I can go into the database, click into supports and then into fixings.  Here I get a large list.  I don't understand how to apply these to the hangers I need to?  I thought maybe I needed to go into the hanger itself in the folders and apply it there?

In the hanger there should be a field to apply them. See pic

Why by default doesn't the "Supports" come up in the hanger item?
I have to mess with the Takeoff Information to see the "Supports" option.
You would think the hanger item would have the "Supports" as a default takeoff field.

Maybe it has been fixed in later versions.

Even though it is not set by default you can do this:

Code: [Select]
item.support.value = "Support Name"
item.support.qty = 1
item.update()

What did you mess with in the takeoff information to get the "Supports" option to show up?
