CAMduct™ Users / Finding the Right Post Processor - I and J Code issue
« Last post by jimbon on Yesterday at 20:39:33 »
How does one find the correct Post Processor for a given table?  Is it really just trial and error?

It is a PPI machine, but the PPI Post Processor in CAMduct does not create the same code that they already use.  All the straight and angled cuts are fine, but the I and J codes are crazy.  Sometimes they draw the entire circle EXCEPT the arc I need, and sometimes they draw the correct arc, but truncated. I cannot change the codes at their table controller because they still need to use their old system.  I pulled the CNC file into CAMduct to see how CAMduct would interpret it, and CAMduct does the same thing to their code that their controller does to our code.  Any guidance would be appreciated.

Simply make a BE "Big end" connector and adjust the bead & crimp. Then set diameter adjustment to match the big end connector and the stretch out is correct.

General Discussions / CADmep 2026 Save as Icon
« Last post by VirtualPilot on Mar 05, 2026, 15:10:53 PM »
I noticed 2026 creating horrible looking icons now, they used to look good before with thin outer lines, now they are thick and horribly looking, is there a setting I'm missing?

From your report, if you have the following items listed below, or you can add them, then use a CALC field and in it have it calculate the following

(Development Width* Development Height * Item Blank Qty )/ 144

See if this solves your riddle  ;)

CADmep™ Users / Adjusting number of parts based on certain paramaters
« Last post by Engelhab123 on Mar 04, 2026, 15:41:21 PM »
I'm looking for ways to adjust how many pieces to cut sheet metal parts (shoe taps, straight joints, etc...) based on specific parameters like overall stretchout or if it's lined. We primarily draw in Revit so the 2 part options aren't available there. Is there any way to make those changes without making two different buttons or just changing it on the cam side? If there isn't an option to do it in CADmep, would this be a good use of scripting in CAMduct?

CAMduct™ Users / Area of Metal for Decoiled Straight on Report Not Accurate
« Last post by msheofsky on Mar 04, 2026, 14:13:47 PM »
I'm trying to run a report for the total area (Sq. Ft) of metal for decoiled straight on our coil line.  For instance, I have (2) pcs of 20x8-56" lng ductwork. The report will show the blank size (2@60x29.750) which is correct.  But all the reports will give me an area of 49.301 for this instead of the actual 49.5833.  How can I get this to match up for charging out correct material amounts to projects?
