Title: Autodesk Deployments
Post by: detail1 on Dec 06, 2018, 17:53:37 PM
Hello everyone,

I have a question about Autodesk Deployments or Configurations. Everyone starts with the Imperial and Metric Content and then you can make your own from there. I have been tasked with reorganizing ours. We had started with one version and then added newer versions, keeping the good and adding new content. Unfortunately the newest version is still Mapped or tied to the old versions.

Does anyone know how to look through the program to see how or where the program looks for the information so i can move and or map the info to the current version and eliminate to old Deployments?

Any help would be most appreciated.

Thank you

If you're comfortable editing the Windows Registry, you can also do it from there. I setup all our user's configs via Registry imports so thay're all consistent.

It's also how you can make your config global on a machine (not user specific) so that it can't be deleted like Autodesk does.

I've covered it in one or two of my Autodesk University classes over the years. If you're interested, I can dig up a link to the content.
