Title: Save MAJ file for Revit
Post by: RDS on Dec 12, 2016, 18:41:07 PM
I'm having issues with the MAJ file.  When I import the  MAJ files into Revit'17 the equipment does not import.  Seems like the only parts that are coming in are the pipe, fittings, joints, clevis hangers and valves.  Has anyone starting using this process?

If your using Fabrication 2017 (AutoCAD) be sure to use the "CreateRevitMAJ" command, not just the "CreateCam" command. It wont bring in flex and diffusers because those CIDs are not supported. Plus not all equipment CIDs are supported either.

I've tried both processes, both fail to delivery what needs to be accomplished.

There is a list of Patterns that Revit does not support. I did a blog on it. One of those patterns is for converted 3d models, which is usually your equipment. The blog is a work around.
