AutoCAD 2013 Running SLOW and locking up!
« on: September 26, 2012, 12:15:21 AM »
I have AutoCAD 2013 and run the new CADduct2013. I do my set up in Project Navigator and do a 3-d structure using the CADduct. I am doing my first drawing using the new 2013 set-up(updated from ACAD 2010 and CADDuct .157.) I have never had it run this slow, it is taking about 30-60 seconds a command! All I do is rotate a 3-d view and have to wait around a minute. I have nothing running in the background and I even tried taking it off our server. No matter what I do it is still running extremely slow. I have a Dell XPS, 8GB RAM, and an I-7 Processor. Any Ideas???

Antivirus running? we had to ask IT not to
scan any autocad/mapp files ever..that seemed to help.
Back in the game after 2 year drift...

Load the new Service Pack for Autocad.  That helped mine alot. If not then it is probably your IT department. They need to be sure that they have CAD out of there scan.
