End cap - 4 slips
« on: Aug 27, 2018, 18:39:15 PM »
I need to have an EC with 4 slips specifically modeled and fab'ed to match the attached.  If on a standard length S&D duct, the duct length should increase by a 1/2" so one end would be S&D and the other (with the EC) would be raw.
I don't remember how to get this to show in the model or the fab file.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

I call them Knock On End Caps, wanted to use them a few times but can never get anyone to bite. It's the corners that create some leakage.

Are you looking for this type Layout, see attached please.

Something like that.  Here's what I've got... (attachment).
How do I get the duct it's attaching to to have a Raw end ilo S&D?

I just set it to Raw when placing or Double Click Edit. I talked to guy's they just turn a flange up slide it in and screw it. think thats a hack way of doing compared to standard knock on like we are discussing.

That's what I've been doing while waiting to see if someone had a way to force the duct to Raw with the ec.  Tedious.

Thanks for your input. I appreciate it.

you could make a copy of your straight joint and lock connectors, add it to your service next to you end cap or normal straight joint. Just an Idea for you!
