If you don't have the field using Components/Review to review MAJ files, or you aren't running profiles then this won't have an impact.
If your database has profiles set up and a MAJ file is created in REVIT/Fabrication CADmep/CAMduct/ESTmep in a profile, when opening up the file in CAMduct Components or Fabrication Review they will only use the global profile and not switch to the profile the MAJ was created in.
This can create a problem if not all profiles have identical information. For example if you have operations in different regions that have different specification preferences and you modify the profile specification for those preferences - they get replaced by the global when opened up in CAMduct components and review.
If that file is then saved in CAMduct components, (because you can't modify and save changes in Review - which doesn't make sense), it will retain the global profile settings. The shop gets the MAJ and then is asked if they want to switch to the global profile. They can decline and open it in their standard profile, but this can be a problem if items were locked with global profile settings and isn't caught.
